China ESP32 AI Sourcing Sample Box Validation Guide
This guide is for validating a China ESP32 AI sourcing sample box before ordering larger quantities. The goal is to turn a box of modules into a clear supplier decision: accepted, needs clarification, or rejected.
Unboxing log
- Photograph every module, package label, and board revision.
- Record USB connector type, chip marking, flash/PSRAM claim, and visible antenna style.
- Keep one photo of accessories, wires, speakers, displays, and camera modules together.
Electrical and firmware checks
- Connect only one board at a time.
- Confirm serial detection and boot log.
- Run a blink or hello sketch before testing peripherals.
- For camera or voice modules, test the peripheral with the simplest firmware path.
- Save firmware version and any supplier-provided link.
Supplier decision notes
Do not judge only by price. Track board consistency, photo accuracy, documentation quality, repeatability, and whether the supplier can confirm replacements for changed modules.
Troubleshooting
- Board name does not match listing: photograph the chip and ask for revision notes.
- Example firmware fails: confirm pin map and board package before rejecting the module.
- Accessories are inconsistent: record the issue before mixing samples.
